Hillsborough Cancels Fall Music & Fireworks Extravaganza Due To Rain

The fireworks event had been scheduled for Friday night in the Township.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough's Fall Music and Fireworks Extravaganza, scheduled for Friday night, has been canceled due to inclement weather, announced the Township on Friday.

This event will not be rescheduled, said the Township.

The area is forecasted to have rain on Friday and continue into the weekend.

Friday: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 76. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Friday Night: Showers likely, mainly after 2 a.m. Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 62. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 2 p.m, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. High near 70. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 47. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 42.
