HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough dad, Scott Laifer, created a video tribute for the high school class of 2020.
Laifer has two children in Hillsborough High School, one of which graduated last week. He began by putting together a simple poem in tribute to the class that is missing out on a traditional graduation due to the coronavirus.
He has since expanded upon the idea to create a video narration of the poem.

"Over the last few weeks, I began to develop a tribute to the class that came from some initial thoughts of a poem. It grew from there with the intention to give the graduates a video memory of their time in the Hillsborough District," Laifer said.
He released the video to students on Thursday.

"There are a lot of subtleties and double meanings throughout. I tried to include a lot of positivity, despite the devastating loss of their 2nd semester of senior year. I hope you and the township get a sense of pride, empathy for this 2020 class, and the feelings of a positive message going forward," Laifer said.
