Hillsborough Democrats Endorse Jill Gomez In 2025 Election

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The Hillsborough Democrats announced Jill Gomez as their 2025 Township Committee candidate.

Gomez is a longtime resident and active member of the community.

"She brings a high level of enthusiasm and understands that collaboration between local government, businesses, and residents is key to building a stronger, more vibrant community,” said Michele Kidd, Hillsborough Democratic Organization Chair.

"I've had the privilege of living in various parts of the country, gaining valuable insight into how different communities tackle challenges and create effective solutions. These experiences have shaped my understanding of what it means to be part of a thriving, supportive community. As Hillsborough continues to grow, I recognize that we face many of these same challenges. Our campaign is focused on implementing practical solutions and fostering a renewed vision for our town's future," said Gomez.

"I recognize the dedication and effort required for this important work," continued Gomez. "I thrive when faced with tough challenges, ambitious goals, and the opportunity to make a real impact. I look forward to meeting with my fellow Hillsborough residents, listening to their concerns, collaborating on solutions, and proudly representing them on the Township Committee."

"Jill is a strong candidate, a great teammate, and will be a remarkable colleague when she is elected in November," said Committeewoman Samantha Hand.

There is one, three-year seat on the Township Committee up for grabs. The seat is currently being held by incumbent Republican Hillsborough Mayor John Ciccarelli. Ciccarelli was elected in November 2022.
