The Hillsborough Dukes Mitey Mite team were involved in a hard-hitting contest yesterday against the Clark Crusaders. The game started off on a positive with the Dukes Jason Roser returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown.
The game settled into a defensive struggle for the next 3 quarters as only Clark added a touchdown. The Dukes defense was led by Justin LeBron, Billy Meszaros, Logan Press, Wade Liedl, Kyle Kolans and Cole Hayden, who recovered a fumble.
The offense moved the ball effectively on the ground with runs by Chris Spinelli, Cole Hayden and Jack Moran and through the air with passes from Moran to Jack O’Donnell and from O’Donnell to Press. However they couldn’t find the end zone again and Clark did two times in the 4th quarter for the final scoring in the game.

The Hillsborough Dukes Mitey Mite team will be back on the road next Sunday at Watchung Hills. They will then return home the Sunday after that for a game against Phillipsburg.
