Jr. Pee Wee Football

Sunday, Oct 22nd the Hillsborough Dukes Jr. Pee Wees took on the Brick City (Newark) Lions and came out with the victory 18-0.

Offense led by Cole Hayden with two, tough TDs (10 yards and 5 yards) and numerous first downs. Logan McDermid with a 10 yard TD run and a big 20 yard completion to Edryn Morales. Peter Sorbera with some hard running, picked up a lot of yards for the Hillsborough Dukes. Great line blocking from (Edryn Morales, Josh Malek, Jackson Jankowicz, Mitch Miller, Austin Siebert, Brenden Barker, and Heath Miller) who powered our running backs with big games.

Defense scored a big shut out today. It was the third shutout of the year. We confused Brick City all day with defensive calls. Brenden Barker and Cole Hayden, each leading the defense with several tackles. Cole Hayden had a stripped-fumble recovery. Also, strong defensive performances from Edryn Morales and James Grohe. They made tackles where it counted. Overall great "D"!

Going into next week, the number one seed, Hillsborough Dukes takes on the winner of the Metuchen/Port Reading game.
