Hillsborough Education Foundation Offers $10K To Support Students

The Hillsborough Education Foundation is offering grants, scholarships and awards to support local public school education.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) will provide $10,000 to support local public school education through three new initiatives for the 2019-2020 school year.

  1. Grant program – HEF invites Hillsborough Township Public School teachers, administrators and staff to submit grant applications to fund high impact education programs. The online grant application will become available on Monday, Dec. 2 and applications will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020 at www.hef.org.
  2. Milestones awards – HEF partners with Hillsborough High School (HHS) to recognize outstanding HHS juniors in a variety of departments, including Applied Technology, English, Family & Consumer Sciences, Guidance, Health, Information & Communication Technology, Math, Music, Sciences, Social Studies, Special Education, Visual Arts and World Languages.
  3. Senior scholarships – HEF will continue its tradition of providing scholarship funding for graduating Hillsborough High School (HHS) students on Senior Awards night.

The Hillsborough High School Advanced Graphic Arts students are also partnering with the foundation to design a new logo that captures the mission and spirit of HEF as part of these new initiatives.

HEF is also looking for community members who are committed to supporting public school education to join the HEF advisory committee. Applications are available online at www.hef.org.
