Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) organizes a book drive to replenish teachers’ classroom libraries in Hillsborough Township Public Schools. The book drive will be held at the Hillsborough Township Municipal Building multipurpose room. Books will be accepted on Tuesday, August 4th from 10 AM – 2 PM, Wednesday, August 5th from 10 AM – 2 PM and Thursday, August 6th from 10 AM – 12 PM.

For donors, this is an opportunity to share your beloved books with the next generation of readers. We can only accept gently used books in very good condition. Hillsborough Township Public Schools teachers will be invited to select books for use in their classrooms grades Pre-K to 12. Please see below for a list of books we cannot accept.
Classroom donations of tissues, Lysol wipes, glue sticks, poly folders, Expo markers and pencils will also be accepted during the book drive.

HEF will provide a tax receipt for all donations. Determining the actual value for tax purposes is up to you. For questions, please email hef.social@hef.org
The Hillsborough Township Municipal Building is located at 379 South Branch Road, Hillsborough NJ 08844 at the corner of South Branch Road and Beekman Lane.
Books we cannot accept:
- Encyclopedias
- Self-help books
- Law textbooks, medical textbooks, scholarly monographs
- Business, science, and technical books
- Reader’s Digest Condensed Books
- Time Life sets including cookbooks
- Harlequin and Silhouette romances
- Textbooks on any subject
- Manuals, almanacs, restaurant, hotel or travel guides
- The Life Nature Library, the Life Science Library, and the Life World Library
- Books that are stained, coated with dust, or smell musty
- Books with heavily underlined pages
- Paperback books with ripped covers or browned pages
