Hillsborough Fourth Graders Collect Art Supplies To Help Children

The art supplies will be collected through June 2 and benefit children suffering from chronic and life-threatening illnesses.​

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough fourth grade students are holding an art supply drive to benefit ArtWorks, The Naomi Cohain Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides art supplies to children suffering chronic and life-threatening illnesses.

The Foundation provides these supplies to young patients and their siblings, giving them an outlet during their stay in the hospital.

The drive is part of the students' community service project to celebrate their final year at Woods Road Elementary School and help give back to those in need.

Supplies will be collected through June 2, during school hours 8:20 a.m. to 3:05 p.m.

Due to health reasons, only new, unopened, non-toxic art supplies will be accepted.

Suggested donation items include:

  • paint,
  • brushes,
  • small canvases,
  • crayons,
  • markers,
  • modeling clay,
  • art kits.

Monetary donations will also be accepted and used to cover ArtWorks’s shipping costs and other administrative needs.
