HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Two 12-year-old Hillsborough girls, Amanda Abbruzze and Alexandra Kuzian, have made it through the first round and will now be competing in the semi-finals of NJ 101.5 Big Joe Henry's Talent Show.

The girls, who will be entering seventh grade at Hillsborough's Auten Road Intermediate School, sang "Don't Rain on My Parade" as part of the competition. They received enough votes online and applause in person during the first round on July 15 to advance to the semi-finals.

The semi-finals will be held on Aug. 26, with a rain date of Aug. 27 from 7 to 8 p.m., at Jenkinson's at Point Pleasant Beach.
