Hillsborough, NJ -- Hillsborough has made the list of the Best Elementary Schools in New Jersey according to Niche.com.

Two of Hillsborough’s elementary schools made the list.

“It has 493 students in grades K-4,” the site posted. “According to state standards, 88% of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.”

“It has 395 students in grades K-4,” the site posted. “According to state standards, 84% of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.”

“ It has 491 students in grades K-4, the site posted. “According to state standards, 88% of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.”

“It has 468 students in grades PK and K-4,” the site posted. “According to state standards, 87% of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.”

Schools were ranked based on state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, and the overall quality of the school district.

The top three schools in New Jersey were found in Short Hills: Glenwood Elementary (1), Deerfield Elementary (2) and Hartshorn Elementary (3).
