Two of Hillsborough’s elementary schools made the list.
- Hillsborough Township Elementary School comes in at 77 out 100 and received an “A+” from the website.
“It has 493 students in grades K-4,” the site posted. “According to state standards, 88% of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.”

- Sunnymead Elementary School comes in at 81 out 100 and received an “A+” from the website.
“It has 395 students in grades K-4,” the site posted. “According to state standards, 84% of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.”
- Amsterdam Elementary School comes in at 86 out 100 and received an “A+” from the website.
“ It has 491 students in grades K-4, the site posted. “According to state standards, 88% of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.”

- Woods Road Elementary School comes in at 90 out 100 and received an “A+” from the website.
“It has 468 students in grades PK and K-4,” the site posted. “According to state standards, 87% of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.”
Schools were ranked based on state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, and the overall quality of the school district.
The top three schools in New Jersey were found in Short Hills: Glenwood Elementary (1), Deerfield Elementary (2) and Hartshorn Elementary (3).
