Hillsborough High School Girls' Cross Country Continues to Shine

A couple months into the season, the Girls’ Cross Country team at Hillsborough High School continues to have a strong performance against their competition. At the Skyland Conference race, Senior Chloe Wong came in 23rd with a time of 20:02 along with Sophomore Cate Lanahan placing 8th at a time of 19:14. The team placed 3rd in Counties with Wong, Lanahan and Junior Jennifer Tavares as their top three. At the Counties meet, Cate Lanahan came in 5th and Chloe came in 2nd. This is also Lanahan's first year running cross country. Coach Refi explained, “The girls are working hard and enjoying a successful season so far. They placed 3rd at the Somerset County Championship and 5th among large schools at the Skyland Conference Championship. It is a nice group to work with.”
