Hillsborough High School Musical Nominated For NJ Awards

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough High School is among those nominated for Paper Mill Playhouse's 2022 statewide Rising Star Awards.

Each year, schools compete to get their musical noticed.

This year's nominees were announced on May 2. The winners will be announced live on June 6.

Hillsborough High School was nominated in multiple categories in connection with "The Spongebob Musical" including:

• Outstanding Performance In A Featured Role (Honorable Mention) - Ellie Beder as "Pearl Krabs"
• Outstanding Performance By A Featured Ensemble Group - "The Sardines"
• Outstanding Performance By An Orchestra (Honorable Mention)

Award Announcements

Tickets to the live Rising Star Awards Ceremony on Monday, June 6 will be made available to final nominees via their school contact on May 4.

The Rising Star Awards will be live-streamed for free on Monday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. Visit PaperMill.org for more information and log-in details.

Scholarship applicants and recipients will be notified by email the week of May 9.
