Hillsborough HS Teacher Arrested For Endangerment Of Student
Kenneth Shindle of Plainsboro was charged with 2 second-degree counts of endangering the welfare of a child with a Hillsborough HS student.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A Hillsborough High School teacher has been arrested and charged with engaging in sexual conduct with a 17-year-old female student.
Kenneth Shindle, 27, of Plainsboro, was charged with two second-degree counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count for engaging in sexual conduct that would impair or debauch the morals of the child, and one count for causing harm to the child making her an abused or neglected child, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey.
An investigation began when Plainsboro Police responded to a possible dispute on the front lawn of Shindle’s home involving the teacher and student.

It was then found that from Jan. 1 through May 7, Shindle engaged in inappropriate conduct, which included unsupervised visits at his home with the underage student, according to an investigation by Detective Timothy McMahon of the Plainsboro Plainfield Police Department and Detective Mark Morris of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Shindle is currently suspended from Hillsborough High School where he was employed as an English teacher for five years with tenure.

He is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick pending his initial court appearance on June 6.
