Hillsborough Honors Purple Heart Recipients
Hillsborough honored local Purple Heart Recipients with a ceremony on Wednesday.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough honored local Purple Heart Recipients with a ceremony at the Municipal Building on Wednesday.
Mayor Robert Britting, Jr. shared a few words about the history of the Purple Heart medal and thanked all veterans for their service and sacrifice.
Purple Heart recipient Jim Kopley presented an informative video about the evolution of the Purple Heart with interviews with Purple Heart recipients.

Hillsborough resident and Purple Heart recipient, Ted Dima, also shared his thoughts about what being a Purple Heart recipient meant to him. Committeewomen Samantha Hand and Catherine Payne, and Committeeman Shawn Lipani were also on hand to greet the veterans in attendance.
Thank you to Hillsborough Starbucks for their generous donation of coffee and pastries for the veterans and their guests.
