Hillsborough House Fire Displaces Family

A Hillsborough house went up in flames on Wednesday afternoon causing significant damage and ultimately resulting it being uninhabitable.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A Hillsborough house went up in flames on Wednesday afternoon causing significant damage and ultimately resulting it being uninhabitable, authorities report.

Around 2:12 p.m. on April 5, emergency officials responded to 32 Campbell Road where the home was fully engulfed in flames. All occupants were already outside the home when police arrived.

The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished. There was significant damage to the residence, and it was deemed uninhabitable, Hillsborough Police reported.

The fire is being investigated by the Hillsborough Township Police Department along with the Hillsborough Township Fire Safety Bureau. The fire is not believed to be suspicious at this time and the investigation is still on going.

Responding units included: Hillsborough Fire Companies 36, 37, Manville Fire Company, Somerville Fire Company, and the Millstone Valley Fire Company responded along with Hillsborough EMS Unit 79, RWJ EMS units, Hillsborough OEM, The Hillsborough Township Fire Safety bureau, and the Hillsborough Building Department.
