Hillsborough: HRC Fitness Fined For Failure To Provide Refund
HRC Fitness of Hillsborough is one of two businesses fined by the The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.

HRC Fitness of Hillsborough is one of two businesses fined by the The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs for not providing a refund to a customer who canceled memberships within a three-day grace period.
It is required by law that within the time of the grace period a refund must be issued and paid to the consumer within 30 days.
“New Jersey law affords consumers a three-day period to change their minds after signing up for a gym membership,” Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman said in the release. “This law is unambiguous, and health clubs that take advantage of consumers and fail to honor it will be held accountable.”
