Hillsborough HS Senior Sells Phone Cases To Help Homeless

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough High School Senior Michael Panchery has been an entrepreneur since the fourth grade and is using his talents to help the homeless this holiday season.
Panchery has launched the homeless project where he has designed holiday-themed cell phone cases to sell. Profits will be used to purchase hats, gloves, socks, and hygiene kits to create homeless care packages for those in need.
"Last year I volunteered at my church, Mary Mother Of God, and spent time with a couple of homeless families. At the time gifts were donated to the homeless children and really seeing their expressions were eye opening for me," Panchery said. "It really felt good to help them. They were so excited to be receiving the gifts that it made me want to do a project of my own."

After the profits are collected and the homeless care packages are made, Panchery will bring them to the Hillsborough Municipal Building to drop them off at the food bank to be distributed to those in need.
