Hillsborough Local Among 4 Arrested For Shoplifting
Bridgewater Police also reported making 1 arrest for driving while intoxicated following a crash.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A Hillsborough local was among four arrested for shoplifting in Bridgewater, police report.
On Sept. 19: A 32-year-old man from Hillsborough was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $164 from Nordstrom Rack at the Chimney Rock Crossing. He was charged with shoplifting. He was processed for the arrest and was released with a pending court appearance.

On Aug. 24 at approximately 12:20 a.m.: Michael Principe, 35, of Morristown was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a motor vehicle crash which occurred on Route 202-206 South. After being processed for the arrest, Principe was issued the following motor vehicle summonses: driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to chemical testing of his breath, reckless driving, driving with a suspended driver’s license, failure to maintain traffic lane, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash and failure to report a motor vehicle crash. He was released with a pending court appearance.
On Sept. 7: An employee of Bright View Landscaping located at 100 Foothill Road reported a theft. Someone stole a Stihl chainsaw, Echo line trimmer and an Echo leaf blower with an approximate combined value of $700.

On Sept. 12: Latoya Martin, 26, of Plainfield was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $277 from Target at the Promenade Shopping Center. Martin was also found to have outstanding warrants from Manville Municipal Court and Hillsborough Municipal Court. Martin was charged with shoplifting and processed for the arrest. She was lodged in the Somerset County jail.
On Sept. 12: Monica Chirre-Alvarez, 45, of North Bergen was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with a combined approximate value of $292 from Macy’s at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Chirre-Alvarez was charged with shoplifting. She was processed for the arrest and was released with a pending court appearance.
On Sept. 18: A resident of Field Street reported a theft. Sometime between Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. and Sept. 18 at 6:30 a.m., someone stole the victim’s 2006 Ford F250 pick-up truck, which was parked in front of his residence.
On Sept. 19: Alejandra Mazza-Escobar, 19, of Brentwood, California was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $86 from Target at the Promenade Shopping Center. Mazza-Escobar was charged with shoplifting. She was processed for the arrest and was released with a pending court appearance.
