Hillsborough Local Arrested For Drug Possession In Raritan
A man was also arrested for driving the wrong way on Route 202 and nearly hitting a Raritan cop car head on in a separate incident: Police.
RARITAN, NJ — A Hillsborough local was arrested for drug possession recently in Raritan, according to the police blotter.
On Aug. 16 at 11:26 p.m.: Keith Balch, 32, of Hillsborough and Daniel Soriano, 20, of Raritan, were each arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance following a motor vehicle stop on West Somerset Street. Officer Evan Vacchiano investigated.

On Aug. 18 at 1:10 a.m.: Garry Borgeson, 70, of Coventry, Conneticut, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 206. Borgeson was also charged with having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle. Sgt. Everett Holt investigated.
On Aug. 20 at 5:06 p.m.: John Okeefe, 59, of Bridgewater, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after patrol officers were dispatched to the area of Old York Road for a vehicle driving erratically. Officer Damien Chromowsky investigated.

On Aug. 20 at 1:25 a.m.: Autumn Benning, 29, of North Brunswick, was arrested for hindering apprehension and a violation of probation warrant following a motor vehicle stop on Route 202. During the motor vehicle stop, Benning provided Officer Nicholas DePiano with a false name to conceal the fact she was wanted by the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department for violating her probation. Benning was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.
On Aug. 22 at 12:58 a.m.: Megan Bernius, 28, of Bedminster, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 202. Officer Timothy DeBerry investigated.
On Aug. 24 at 12:05 a.m.: Officer Benjamin Griffin was conducting a property check of the Raritan Train Station when he observed Alexander Germek, 30, who is homeless, sleeping inside the waiting area. During his investigation, Griffin arrested Germek for possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Aug. 25 at 12:57 a.m.: Jose Bolvito-Enriquez, 25, of Plainfield, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Thompson Street. Patrol officers were alerted to Enriquez after he nearly struck a patrol vehicle head on as he was traveling south in the northbound lanes of Route 202. Enriquez attempted to hide his vehicle on Thompson Street during the incident. Officer Robert Sinopoli investigated the incident.
On Aug. 25 at 10:41 p.m.: William Shovelin, 58, of Bridgewater, was arrested for driving while intoxiacted following a motor vehicle stop on West Somerset Street. Det. Steven Bonczek investigated the incident.
During this time period, 17 additional people were arrested for various warrants, domestic violence incidents, and joint investigations with the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
