Hillsborough Local Charged With DUI In Princeton
Princeton Police also reported multiple burglaries to town stores, homes and vehicles recently.
PRINCETON, NJ — A Hillsborough local was arrested recently for driving while under the influence in Princeton.
On Feb. 19 at 10:20 p.m., patrols responded to State Road on a report of an erratic driver. The vehicle was stopped in the 100 Block of Bayard Lane and the driver, Sara Russell, 32, of Hillsborough was subsequently arrested for driving while under the influence of an intoxicating substance, Princeton Police report.
She was additionally charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Russell was released to a sober adult with several summonses and a pending court date.

On Feb. 14 at 9:36 a.m.: The victim reported that sometime between Feb. 4 and Feb. 5, someone entered their unsecured residence in the 300 block of Mount Lucas Road and stole kitchen appliances valued at $1,600.
On Feb. 15: The complainant reported that the plate glass window on the storefront in the 300 block of N. Harrison Street was broken sometime between Feb. 11 and Feb. 15 by someone. The estimated cost of the damage is $4,000.
On Feb. 15 at 12:29 p.m.: A Bainbridge Street resident reported that a credit card was opened in their name without their authorization. There is no suspect at this time and the victim suffered no monetary loss.
On Feb. 15 at 1:05 p.m.: The victim reported that the front license plate of their vehicle was stolen from their car on Feb. 12 on North Braeburn Drive.
On Feb. 15 at 8:13 p.m.: The victim reported that the lock box containing the key to their residence in the 400 block of Mt. Lucas Road was stolen about two weeks earlier. The unoccupied residence was likely entered but nothing from in doors was stolen.
On Feb. 16 at 2:14 a.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop for failure to stop at a stop sign on Chambers Street, the driver, Eddie Q. Turner, 33, of Princeton was placed under arrest. It was determined that he had provided a false name to an officer. Turner was charged with hindering apprehension and was found to have several outstanding warrants for his arrest totaling $1,558. Turner was later turned over to Plainsboro Police.
On Feb. 19 at 10:02 a.m.: The complainant reported that sometime between 8 p.m. on Feb. 18 and 10 a.m. hrs. on Feb. 19 someone entered their unsecured lot in the 800 block of State Road and removed all the tires and rims from three brand new vehicles. The estimated value of the stolen property is $9,496.
On Feb. 19 at 6:21 p.m.: The victim reported that between 1:43 and 2:08 a.m. on Feb. 19, someone entered an unlocked portion of their residence on Wittmer Court as well as their unlocked vehicles and stole various items. The value of the stolen items is $2,930.
On Feb. 20 at 10:08 a.m.: The complainant reported that someone unlawfully entered the locked store in the 300 Block of N. Harrison Street and stole about $500 from a safe at 10:10 p.m. hrs. on Feb. 19.
