Hillsborough Locals Among 4 Arrested For Shoplifting
Bridgewater Police reported making 5 arrests for driving while intoxicated and shoplifting recently in the township.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Two Hillsborough locals were among four arrested for shoplifting recently in the Bridgewater Township.
On July 9: Christine Sauers, 37, of Hillsborough and another unnamed person (editor's note: the other individual's name was removed as they provided paperwork to Patch showing the case was dismissed) were arrested for shoplifting merchandise with a combined approximate value of $166 from Target located at the Promenade Shopping Center. Sauers was charged with shoplifting, processed for the arrest and was released with a pending court appearance.

On July 5: An employee of Target located at the Promenade Shopping Center reported a theft. Someone stole several bottles of baby formula and boxes of diapers with a combined value of $428.28 from a display area.
On July 7: Hector Roman, 57, of West New York was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 22 East. Roman was processed for the arrest and issued motor vehicle summonses for the following violations: driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to chemical testing of his breath, reckless driving, failure to maintain traffic lane and failure to exhibit an insurance card. He was released with a pending court appearance.

On July 7: Sara Morales-Silva, 51, of Somerville was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with a combined approximate value of $435.04 from Macy’s at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Morales-Silva was processed for the arrest, served with a complaint summons for shoplifting and was released with a pending court appearance.
On July 7: Edgardo Velez-Figueroa, 18, of Flemington was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with a combined approximate value of $109.98 from Macy’s at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Velez-Figueroa was processed for the arrest, served with a complaint summons for shoplifting and was released with a pending court appearance.
