Hillsborough Locals Arrested For Drugs, DWI, Shoplifting
Hillsborough Police reported making 7 drug possession arrests and 3 for driving while intoxicated recently.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Multiple Hillsborough locals were among those arrested for drug possession, driving while intoxicated and shoplifting.
Hillsborough Police blotter:
On March 7: Nadiya Powell, 29, of Vauxhall was arrested for possession of marijuana after being stopped in her vehicle on Rt. 206. She was issued additional summonses for having controlled dangerous substance(CDS) in a motor vehicle and not having her headlights on. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On March 8: Frank Deriancho Jr., 36, of Hillsborough was arrested for possession of marijuana after being stopped in his vehicle on Rt. 206 and Dukes Parkway West. He was issued additional summonses for having controlled dangerous substance(CDS) in a motor vehicle and for driving while suspended. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
On March 9: Janelica Torres-Gonzalez, 38, of Perth Amboy was arrested for possession of marijuana after being stopped in her vehicle on Rt. 206 and Hillsborough Road. She was issued additional summonses for having controlled dangerous substance(CDS) in a motor vehicle and delaying traffic. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On March 16: Carlos Diaz, 26, of Hillsborough was arrested for driving while intoxicated after being stopped in his vehicle on Rt. 206 and Camplain Road. He was issued additional summonses for speeding, failing to maintain a lane, unclear plates and having an unregistered vehicle. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
On March 23: Lee Armour, 35 of New Brunswick was arrested for possession of marijuana after being stopped in a vehicle on Rt. 206. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
On March 25: Adrian Angon-Bravo, 22, of Rocky Hill was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped in his vehicle on East Mountain Road. He was issued additional summonses for having controlled dangerous substance(CDS) in a motor vehicle and speeding. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
On March 27: Jake Tanis, 19, of Hillsborough was arrested for driving while intoxicated after being stopped in his vehicle on Sunnymead Road. He was issued additional summonses for failing to exhibit insurance and delaying traffic. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
On March 28: Jihad Lewis, 20, of Somerset was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped in his vehicle on Amwell Road. He was issued additional summonses for having controlled dangerous substance(CDS) in a motor vehicle and using a cell phone while driving. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
On March 31: Anthony Kortekaas, 43, of Hillsborough was arrested for shoplifting at the ShopRite Store located at 601 Rt. 206. He attempted to leave the store with groceries valued at $236.51, without paying for them. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
On April 4: Byron Mendez-Bautista, 30, of Bernardsville was arrested for hindering apprehension after providing a false identification on a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 206. He was issued additional summonses for driving while suspended and failing to maintain a lane. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
On April 5: Steven Perez, 25, of Scotch Plains was arrested for possession of marijuana after being stopped in his vehicle on Rt. 206. He was issued additional summonses for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) in a motor vehicle, being an unlicensed driver and failing to maintain vehicle lamps. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
On April 6: Sean Lisowski, 32, of West New York was arrested for driving while intoxicated after being stopped in his vehicle on Auten Road. He was issued additional summonses for failing to maintain lane, improper operation on a divided highway and failing to exhibit insurance. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
