Hillsborough Man Charged With Trying To Steal ATV Damaged By Hurricane Ida

A neighbor in Montgomery called police after seeing the man trying to steal an ATV on Sept. 8.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — A Hillsborough man was charged with trying to steal an ATV, which had been damaged during Tropical Storm Ida.

On Sept. 8 at 9:01 p.m., a resident on Hollow Road in Montgomery said they saw a person trying to steal on of their neighbor's ATVs, said Montgomery Police Lt. Silvio Bet.

Police found A. Cumba 3rd, 37, of Hillsborough was found at the scene and an investigation uncovered he was attempting to steal the resident’s Polaris 700 ATV, said Bet.

Cumba 3rd was arrested and processed at police headquarters. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court.
