Hillsborough Man Indicted For Flemington Bank Robbery

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A Hillsborough man, who was charged in connection with multiple bank robberies spanning multiple counties in October, has been indicted in the robbery in Flemington.
Mark E. Elbaum, 52, of Hillsborough was indicted on Thursday, Jan. 24 by a Hunterdon County Grand Jury for one count of second-degree robbery and one count of third-degree theft, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III.
Elbaum was charged on Oct. 29, 2018 following a bank robbery on Oct. 24, 2018 at around 9 a.m. at the Northfield Bank on Main Street in Flemington.

During the robbery, Elbaum attempted to conceal his identity and handed the teller a note demanding money," Kearns said.
Elbaum was also arrested in connection with multiple bank robberies in New Jersey and Pennsylvania including in Franklin Township, Bridgewater, Middlesex, North Brunswick and West Windsor. (See Related: Hillsborough Man Arrested In Multi-County Bank Robbery Spree)

Elbaum is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 4 for a post indictment hearing.
