HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A Somerset County man was severely burned last weekend when chemicals he was mixing to make homemade fireworks exploded, according to police.
Hillsborough police were called to a home on Three Bridges Road shortly before 4 a.m. after the man suffered second-degree burns on his arm.
According to police, the man was mixing chemicals while assembling homemade fireworks, which led to an explosion.
