Hillsborough Mayor Ciccarelli Announces Candidacy For Re-Election

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The Hillsborough Republican District Committee unanimously voted to endorse Mayor John Ciccarelli to be the candidate for Hillsborough Township Committee.

"John has been a dedicated public servant and has proven his leadership, and we could not be more pleased to endorse him today," announced Hillsborough Republican Chairman Ken Scherer on Wednesday.

Ciccarelli officially announced his intention to run for re-election for the Township Committee of Hillsborough, reaffirming his commitment to the community and his dedication to continuing the work he has done to improve the township at the most recent district committee meeting.

"I am honored to serve as your mayor, and I am proud of what we have accomplished together," said Ciccarelli. "Over the past few years, we have worked to build a stronger, safer, and more vibrant community. As I seek re-election, my focus will remain on improving local services, enhancing economic development, and ensuring that Hillsborough remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family."

During his tenure as mayor, Ciccarelli has been known for his collaborative leadership style and
commitment to fiscal responsibility. He has worked tirelessly on initiatives ranging from public
safety improvements to the expansion of local parks and recreational spaces. Additionally, he has
focused on ensuring that Hillsborough continues to thrive as an attractive destination for families
and businesses alike.

Ciccarelli’s re-election campaign will emphasize his dedication to preserving the values of Hillsborough while making smart, forward-thinking decisions that benefit all residents. He is
committed to continuing the progress made over the last few years and to making Hillsborough

About Mayor John Ciccarelli:

Ciccarelli has a civil engineering degree from Delaware University and an MBA from Rutgers. He has served on National engineering boards. Ciccarelli also has been an expert witness testifying in courts around the country.

Ciccarelli with his wife Kim and daughters Alexa and Sydney have lived in Hillsborough for over 20 years. He also has served as President of the Hillsborough Soccer Association. Mayor Ciccarelli has also been serving on the Planning Board for the past 5 years.

"Mayor Ciccarelli’s experience as an engineer and with the Planning Board and Master Plan re-
evaluation will be a critical asset in working through the next round of affordable housing
