Hillsborough Mom Keeps Celebrations Alive As Coronavirus Spreads

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Many children and adults are experiencing disappointment and sadness as they are forced to cancel parties and events due to the new coronavirus. Hillsborough mom and business owner Tiziana Masi is offering families an alternative way to still celebrate the special day in a social distancing friendly way.

Masi moved to Hillsborough with her husband Anthony and have two children. Masi is also the owner of Card My Yard Hillsborough franchise that specializes in erecting giant celebratory signs on your front lawn.

The enormous signs can share any wish to a loved one such as 'Happy Birthday', 'Congratulations', 'Happy Easter', and more.

"I know a lot of kids or even adults celebrating an 80th milestone birthday are disappointed right now," Masi said. "Especially older people that shouldn't be in contact with others. Sending a sign would be a nice way to celebrate and give them a surprise."

Recently Card My Yard Hillsborough was asked to put up a sign that said "We Love You" from a family to their mom who was at a nursing home. The mandated social distancing prevents the residents from receiving visitors.

Masi is offering $10 off to all "during this crazy time so they can still celebrate birthdays."

"I know people had to cancel plans, especially birthday parties for kids, and this will definitely brighten their day!" Masi said. "I really want to try and lift spirits — especially for kids, but really everyone."

Masi added that their is no-contact needed for the signs. Everything is done online and Masi will come at night to set up the sign and then come back at night to take it down.
