Hillsborough Music Festival To Prevent Suicide, Save Lives
The 2018 Hillsborough Music Festival, to raise funds for youth suicide prevention, will return to the Hillsborough Promenade on Aug. 4.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The Hillsborough Music Festival, to raise funds for youth suicide prevention, will return to the Hillsborough Promenade on Saturday, Aug. 4.
The festival is free to the public and co-sponsored by the Hillsborough Cultural Arts Commission. The festival will feature local bands, solo artists, food and vendors.
This annual festival established in 2008 celebrates the talent of local artists in central New Jersey. Since 2010 the mission of the festival expanded to become a charitable event to raise funds for youth suicide prevention—through outreach, education, and mental health awareness programs.

The Hillsborough Music Festival is a 100 percent volunteer event. The proceeds for this event benefit My Son, Your Daughter: the Jonah Johnson Youth Scholarship Fund is a federally registered 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to suicide prevention through arts education and mental health resiliency training in local schools.
Additionally, the fund provides scholarships for post-secondary students. A portion of the festival proceeds will benefit BoroSafe, a Hillsborough suicide education organization that was formed to address suicide in the Hillsborough school community.
