Hillsborough Named Among New Jersey's Top 5 Destinations For 2025
The Township was listed in JerseyBest.com's 2025 Top Five Destinations of the Year.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough was chosen as one of JerseyBest.com's 2025 Top Five Destinations of the Year.
"Though our Destination of the Year distinction can’t be won by duking it out, it’s tough to argue with the 1.5 million visitors enchanted over the years by the beauty and purpose of Duke Farms – one of Hillsborough Township’s many crowning jewels," according to JerseyBest.com.
In addition to the Sourlands and Duke Farms, the annual Rotary Fair, Flounder Brewing, Norz Hill Farm, What a View, and Royce Brook Golf were listed as just some of the reasons Hillsborough is an appealing destination.

"We always knew Hillsborough was a great place to live," said Mayor John Ciccarelli at the
Feb. 25 Township Commiee meeting. "But it’s also a wonderful place to visit and spend
the day. We have amazing parks, wide open spaces, and dining options to please all palates."
JerseyBest.com’s Destination of the Year contest began in 2022 to further celebrate the best that
New Jersey has to offer. Criteria for top destinations include seasonal and annual visitation
numbers as well as standout aributes like aractions, historical significance, cuisine, and
future plans.

"Hillsborough Township boasts an easy harmony of rural and suburban living, designating 40 percent of its acreage to open space and dedicating the rest to the good life," according to JerseyBest.com.
Other towns rounding out the Top 5 Destinations for 2025 are Fort Lee, Jersey City, Madison,
and New Brunswick.
