Hillsborough Owner, Pets Not Harmed In Thanksgiving House Fire
The home at 153 Flanders Dr. was fully engulfed in flames when Hillsborough Police responded on Nov. 22 shortly after 8:30 a.m.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A Hillsborough resident and his pets were able to escape a fire at his township home on Thanksgiving morning.
The home at 153 Flanders Dr. was fully engulfed in flames when Hillsborough Police responded on Nov. 22 shortly after 8:30 a.m.
The home was unoccupied as the owner, Victor Holmlund, 78, was already outside.

Fire departments extinguished the fire, yet the home suffered damage throughout and was deemed unlivable, according to Hillsborough Police.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Hillsborough Police, the Hillsborough Fire Safety Bureau. It does not appear to be suspicious, police report.

There were no reported injuries to anyone and the Holmlund's pets were also uninjured.
