Hillsborough Ranks Among 40 Best School Districts In NJ
Hillsborough High School also ranked among the top 60 public high schools in New Jersey, according to Niche.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough was ranked as among the top 40 school districts in New Jersey, according to Niche’s 2023 Best Schools and Districts.
The rankings released Tuesday place Hillsborough Township School District at 36th best in the state and 482 out of 10,776 in America.
Locally, Bridgewater-Raritan ranks as the 4th best school district in Somerset County. Bernards Township School District ranked first in the county.

Hillsborough has 7,288 students and a 16:1 student-teacher ratio, according to Niche.com. According to state test scores, 69% of students are at least proficient in math and 76% in reading.
