Hillsborough Scout Hosts Family Music Night

Funds raised will fund the Eagle Scout project to construct a horse shed to offer rehabilitation to help veterans suffering from PTSD.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A freshman at Hillsborough High School from Troop 489 is hosting a Family Music Night on Thursday to raise funds for his Eagle Scout project.

Aravind Krishnan's project is to raise funds to construct a horse shed through a nonprofit organization, Spring Reins of Life, that will help veterans with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and families by offering mental health rehabilitation through horses.

On June 16, he conducted a Mental Health Awareness walkathon at Ann Van Middlesworth Park. Krishnan has collected about 85 percent of his target $5,000 goal for his project. He will begin the construction in August.
