Hillsborough ShopRite Employees Featured On Special Edition Cheerios
Lynette Byrne and JoAnn Kube will be featured on a Cheerios box in recognition of their fundraising efforts to support regional food banks.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Two ShopRite of Hillsborough associates were features on a special-edition Cheerios box in recognition of their fundraising efforts to support regional food banks.
The special-edition Cheerios box was unveiled at the store at 601 Rt 206 and Amwell Road on March 30 featuring Lynette Byrne and JoAnn Kube who were the winners of the annual ShopRite Partners In Caring Cheerios Contest, sponsored in partnership with General Mills.
Associates at the ShopRite of Hillsborough raised more than $12,500 for local food banks this year.

Representatives of the Sumas Family (owners and operators of Village Super Market, Inc.), representatives of The Community Food Bank of New Jersey, and representatives of Feeding Hands were also present during the unveiling.
"It’s a tradition that recognizes ShopRite associates for fighting hunger in the communities they serve," according to ShopRite.

Under this year’s contest theme, “Ending Hunger Together,” ShopRite associates collected donations at check-out, helping to raise more than $1 million for regional food banks in several states.
The 52 top fundraising ShopRite stores selected associates to be featured on special-edition Cheerios boxes, sold exclusively at ShopRite and unveiled during in-store celebrations from March to May.
Each winning store will also receive prize money ($3,000 for the top five stores, and $500 for the remaining winning stores) to be donated to local food pantries chosen by the respective store teams.
