Hillsborough Small Business Receives Growth Grant

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Wheelhouse Training, a coaching facility in Hillsborough, has won a $4,000 grant from the National Association for the Self-Employed for showing concrete growth plans and strategies.

The organization said it awarded the facility, which is owned by Brandon Vega, a first-quarter Growth Grant to help expand business operations.

Vega, according to the website, specializes in "sports specific strength training, speed development, corrective exercise, and hitting instruction."

“Making a positive impact on people’s lives has always been my vision. For me, it has come through the game of baseball and sports performance. I did not achieve the results that I had hoped for, while also going through my fair share of tough experiences," Vega is quoted as saying on the Wheelhouse Training website. "Instead of sulking, I hunted for the TRUTH. Baseball has allowed me to see things in a greater light. And because of this, my experiences have allowed me to dive deeper into the true meaning and understanding of the process.”

He is a member of the National Association for the Self-Employed, or NASE.

Wheelhouse Training is at 3 Jill Court, Building 15, Units 27 and 28 in Hillsborough.
