Hillsborough Soccer Teams Donate To Food Bank, Honored For Giving Back

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The Hillsborough High School Boys Soccer Team was honored by the Township Committee recently for their volunteerism, community service, and generous contribution to the Hillsborough Community Assistance Network.

Mayor Shawn Lipani presented the Hillsborough High School Boys Soccer Team with a proclamation at the Nov. 28 meeting.

In 2023 the Boys Soccer Teams volunteered at events such as: Kickball with the Cops, Steeplechase Walk/Run, Hillsborough Clean Communities, Bingo at Brookdale, Alzheimer Walk with Brookdale, Hillsborough Recreation Trunk or Treat, and the Hillsborough C.A.N. Thanksgiving preparation.

While at the meeting, the team presented the Community Assistance Network (C.A.N.) food pantry with a check for $750 due to the success of its annual clothing drive fundraiser where 3,807 pounds of clothing was collected.
