Hillsborough Stands With Ukraine: Residents Rally For Peace
"Hillsborough stands with and always will stand with the Ukraine people who have our support and our prayers throughout a peaceful outcome."
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough is standing in unity with Ukraine as a rally and a moment of silence was recently held in support.
Our Revolution Hillsborough(ORH) hosted a rally in support of Ukraine on Sunday at the Route 206 and Amwell Road intersection.
About 60 residents including Hillsborough Mayor Shawn Lipani and Committeeman Steve Cohen came out with signs and flags to show their support for Ukraine following the invasion of Russia.

"One scene particularly touching was seeing an elderly Ukrainian couple weep in the parking lot after seeing the amount of support at the rally," said ORH to Patch. "We will continue our support for our Ukrainian community with future events. We would like to thank everyone for attending."
During the Tuesday night Township Committee meeting, Lipani asked for a moment of silence "for the people of Ukraine, or for those who have lost their lives and those who are continually bravely, historically fighting for freedom and justice."

Locally, Flounder Brewery, whose owners are of Ukrainian descent, is continuing to raise money for Ukraine. On Sunday, March 13 from noon to 8 p.m. is hosting a fundraiser to collect money to support Ukrain.
Musicians Walt and Mike are performing Ukrainian music and Carriage Farm has Cas' Pierogi & Kielbasa Food Truck coming to the farm to help raise money.
