Hillsborough Students Transport Back to Colonial Times
Auten Road Intermediate School's Colonial Day offered activities including practice with quill and ink, butter making, whirligig making
Hillsborough, NJ -- Fifth grade students at Auten Road Intermediate School took a trip back in time as they participated in the school's Annual Colonial Day events.
On Friday, May 20, students were immersed in Colonial-period activities including practice with quill and ink, butter making, whirligig making, and more. The activities were hosted by the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts as well as teachers and parent volunteers.
Colonial-inspired lunch offered students chicken and cornbread in the cafeteria followed by Colonial games during recess.
