Hillsborough Stylist Beautifies Models At New York Fashion Week

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough stylist and owner of Renaissance Hair Salon and Spa, Jennifer Korab, recently was part of New York Fashion Week.

"It was really exciting and chaotic," Korab said of the experience in February. "This was one of the biggest platforms I have ever done. It was a little scary."'

Although scary, Korab was in her element as she has 23 years of experience with hair.

Korab, a lifelong HIllsborough resident, grew up in the hair industry.

"My mom was a hair stylist and I always found myself gravitating towards hair," Korab said.

She went to cosmetology school after graduating from Hillsborough High School and then worked at a couple salons in town before making the leap to open her own business — Renaissance Hair Salon and Spa at 411 Route 206.

It started as a hair salon before Korab took on the spa side about six years ago. She then added the boutique shop three years ago.

It serves as a one-stop shop to beautify yourself.

"I love the clients’ reaction and to make clients feel good," Korab said. "It really is amazing to transform them and not just their hair but how they feel emotionally as well."

At Renaissance, Korab offers hair cutting, coloring, extensions, hair-tied extensions, a blowout bar, braid bar, spa services such as facials, waxing and make up. Her boutique also sells high fashion brands.
