Hillsborough Teachers, Staff To Rally Again Tuesday Night

Hillsborough teachers and staff have been working without a contract since Sept. 1.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough teachers and staff continue to rally in hopes of getting a fair and equitable contract.

Rallies have been held in the past in August and September and the Hillsborough Education Association Negotiations Team is once again asking for the public's help to come out and support their cause.

The HEA Negotiations Team has a negotiation session with the Board of Education on Tuesday, Oct. 4 and they will be rallying at 5:30 p.m. outside the BOE office to send a message that they remain united.

"Our numbers have been outstanding and have definitely been noticed. It is imperative that you attend," the HEA posted.

Both the HEA and HBOE entered into negotiations in January. However, after five months of meetings an impasse was declared. As of Sept. 1, Hillsborough teachers and school staff have been working without a contract.
