Hillsborough Township School Board Election: See Who's Running In 2022

There are six candidates vying for four open seats on the Hillsborough Township School Board in the November election.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Monday was the deadline for school board candidates to file for the upcoming general election in November. Six candidates have announced their intention to run for the four open Hillsborough Township Board of Education seats.

There are three, three-year seats and one, two-year unexpired seat up for grabs. All are volunteer and unpaid and are contested.

  • Jean Trujillo of Eric Court (incumbent)
  • Thomas J. Zobele of Upper Neshanic Court
  • Joshua Gamse of Murray Drive
  • Danny Lee of Scott Drive
  • Joel E. Davis of Amherst Court

Jane M. Staats of Devonshire is the only candidate seeking the unexpired, two-year seat. Staats previously ran for school board in 2018 and threw her name in the ring to fill an open spot this past April.

The K- 12 Board of Education election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
