Hillsborough Woman Charged With Assaulting Cop, DWI: Blotter

Hillsborough Police also charged seven more people for numerous offenses including drug possession, driving while intoxicated and theft.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A Hillsborough woman was charged with driving while intoxicated and assaulting a police officer following a crash, police said.

The crash was reported on Sept. 6 on Route 206.

Sarah Codd, 33, of Hillsborough was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving and simple assault for assaulting an officer, Hillsborough Police said.

She was released with a court date.

On Sept. 1: A 23-year-old man from Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana after a vehicle he was in was stopped by police on Brooks Boulevard. He was also issued a summons for failure to wear a seatbelt. He was processed and released with a court date.

On Sept. 2: A 67-year-old man from Hillsborough was charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped by police on Amwell Road. He was also given summonses for open container of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, refusal to submit to chemical breath tests, and dropping debris out of a motor vehicle. He was released with a court date.

On Sept. 18: A 28-year-old man from Patterson, was arrested and charged with possession
of marijuana after being stopped by police on Route 206. He was also issued summonses for controlled dangerous substance (CDS) in a motor vehicle and failure to stop or yield. He was released with a court date.

On Sept. 21: A 37-year-old man from Manville, was charged with three counts of theft from
Lowes. He made fraudulent returns to the business, obtaining store credit. He was issued a summons for each incident and provided a court date.

On Sept. 22: A 25-year-old man from Hillsborough, was arrested and charged with possession of hashish oil as a result of a motor vehicle stop on New Amwell Road. He was processed and released with a court date.

On Sept. 24: Gavin Houser-Kassik, 18, of Hillsborough, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated as a result of a motor vehicle crash on Route 206. He was also issued summonses for careless driving, failure to exhibit license, failure to exhibit registration, and failure to exhibit
insurance. He was released with a court date.

On Sept. 24: A 39-year-old man from Somerville and a 40-year-old man from Bridgewater, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 206. Spolarich was also issued summonses for Improper use of cell phone and Littering from a vehicle. They were both released with a court date.
