Hillsborough Woman Killed, 3 Hospitalized In Route 206 Crash
Shobha Contractor, 77, of Hillsborough was killed and three others were hospitalized following the 3-car crash on Friday.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A Hillsborough woman was killed and three other people were hospitalized following a three-car crash on Route 206 on Friday.
The crash was reported at 1:11 p.m. when Shobha Contractor, 77, of Hillsborough was driving a 2021 BMW X3 east on New Amwell Road just west of Route 206, said Hillsborough Police Sgt. Jeremy Cuomo.
Contractor crossed over the westbound lane on New Amwell Road and hit the curb on the westbound side of the road before continuing east through a parking lot, where the car hit a curb, and went airborne, said Cuomo.

Contractor's car then hit Kamlesh Bishit, 43, of Hillsborough who was driving a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander south on Route 206, said Cuomo.
After hitting Bishit, Contractor's car continued east and hit Michelle Hernandez, 22, of Hillsborough who was driving a 2021 Honda Passport north on Route 206, said Cuomo.

Contractor's car then overturned and hit a tree on the grass area of 409 Route 206. Contractor died from her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, said Cuomo.
Bishit and Hernandez along with Hernandez's juvenile passenger were all taken to RWJ New Brunswick with non-life-threatening injuries.
Route 206 was closed in both directions for about 5 hours while the crash was being investigated.
The crash remains under investigation by the Hillsborough Township Police Department.
