Hot Night for Big Band Sound

The SummerSwing Orchestra brought the sounds of the 1930s and 1940s to Ann Van Park.

The crowd tried to beat the heat by staying in the shade during John Nobile's SummerSwing Orchestra performance Thursday night.

Despite the grueling temperatures, the orchestra brought the big band sound to Ann Van Middlesworth Park during the third Music in the Park summer concert. The orchestra played tunes from Duke Ellington, Count Basie, George Gershwin, Glen Miller and more.
