Kitchen Fire Leaves Hillsborough Home 'Inhabitable'
The resident came home to find smoke in his kitchen, police report.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A township resident has been displaced following a fire in his kitchen Thursday morning in the Sunnymead Run development, Hillsborough Police report.
Muhammad Hashmi, 24, of Solga Road came home at 11:50 a.m. to find smoke in his kitchen and called 911, police report.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and contain it to the kitchen area of the home. However, the home was deemed uninhabitable, police report.

There were no reported injuries.
The following agencies responded to the scene: Hillsborough Police, Hillsborough Fire Units 36, 37 and 38, Millstone Valley Fire Company, Finderne Fire Company, Hillsborough OEM, RWJ Rescue Squad, Fire Safety, Hillsborough Building Department and Hillsborough Social Services.
