Kitchen Fire Spreads To Attic Of Somerset Home

SOMERSET, NJ — A kitchen fire sparked in Somerset early on Thursday prompting firefighters from the area to come out.

At 1:18 a.m. on April 20, Franklin Fire Department was called to 95 Hollywood Ave. for a reported kitchen fire, said Millstone Valley Fire Department.

The working fire was found on the second floor and upgraded to a first alarm. It then spread into the attic as well.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire with the help of nearby departments. Firefighters were cleared from the area at 3:45 a.m.
