Large Garbage Fire In Hillsborough Prompts Police Investigation
Garbage dumped in the parking lot of the former Cost Cutters was reported on Friday morning.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A garbage fire in a parking lot off Route 206 in Hillsborough has prompted a police investigation.
Hillsborough Police Lt. Scott W. Mc Carthy confirmed to Patch on Monday that "the garbage / garbage truck fire investigation #2024-1049 from June 21 is still under investigation at this time."
Residents and drivers on Route 206 reported seeing a large garbage pile dumped in the parking lot of the former Cost Cutters at 390 Route 206 on Friday around 5:30 a.m.
