Local Dad To Open 2nd Kids Consignment Shop In Somerset County
Due to the overwhelming response to their first store, the Hillsborough dad is expanding and opening another Max and Mia location.

SOUTH BOUND BROOK, NJ — In less than a year since Hillsborough dad Brett Cooper opened his first kids consignment shop Max and Mia’s, he is now expanding to open his second location.
“We have had such an overwhelming response to our first store that we had no choice but expand,” said Cooper.
The second location will be at 32 Main St. in South Bound Brook and have the same concept as the first Max and Mia’s in Hillsborough.

“From the beginning we were overwhelmed by the community and we quickly outgrew our space,” Cooper said. “We almost outgrew our second space already too. People are really receptive to the idea and love the store and our selection. We are going to have merchandise in both locations but the bigger space will allow us to expand into bigger items like furniture.”
Cooper expects the second location to open by the end of this week or next.

Max and Mia’s offers clothing for children ages birth to young teens, gear such as strollers and carriers, toys, smaller furniture and maternity clothes.
Unlike other franchise consignment stores, Max and Mia’s splits the profits with people bringing the items in. And then the items can be sold to families who will use them.
One of the biggest selling points of Max and Mia's is that they offer a pick-up service. Cooper are traveling all over the surrounding area to pick up items from people looking to get rid of it.
