Dog Fostering 101 - Poor Paws Rescue

We are a foster based rescue, we do not have a shelter. All of our dogs are cared for by people in their homes.

Step 1: Pick up from transport on Saturday afternoon at rest areas along the NJ Turnpike.

Step 2: Bring dog home, check dog for general health. All dogs have already been seen by a veterinarian. Medical records come with each dog.

Step 3: Treat the dog as your own, provide food, shelter, exercise and love.

Step 4: Attend adoption event or be available for a Meet & Greet at a public location.

- Our average foster period is less than 15 days

- We are a 501c3 so the expenses you bear may be tax deductible

- The majority of our rescue dogs come from high kill shelters in the South
