Man Convicted Of Aggravated Assault Of Franklin Store Employee
A Somerset County Jury convicted Yahmir Brown, 19, of Somerset, in connection with the assault in November 2022.

FRANKLIN, NJ — A Franklin man was convicted in connection with the assault of a store employee in the township in November 2022.
A Somerset County Jury convicted Yahmir Brown, 19, of Somerset, of second-degree aggravated assault on May 10, announced Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.
On Nov. 23, 2022, Brown was charged, along with another juvenile, for assaulting the employee of a local business located on Hamilton Street n Franklin Township.

The victim sustained multiple facial fractures because of the incident, which was the subject of a
joint investigation by Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Detective William
Perez and Franklin Township Police Department Detectives Emma Bascom and Robert Brown.
Brown faces a mandatory prison sentence, 85 percent of which is to be served without parole pursuant to the No Early Release Act.
