Man Kidnapped, Sexually Assaulted Somerset County Woman: Cops
Hajkim A. Samuel of Newark broke into the woman's home, held her at knife point and repeatedly sexually assaulted her, police say.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — A Newark man was charged with kidnapping and sexually assaulting a Somerset County woman multiple times last week, authorities announce.
The woman who lives in Somerset County called 911 on April 9 at about 5:40 p.m. reporting Hajkim A. Samuel, 43, of Bergen Street in Newark forced his way into her home, held her captive at knife point and repeatedly sexually assaulted her, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson, Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor and Montgomery Township Police Director/Captain James M. Gill.
Samuel then forced the victim to drive to a hotel in Middlesex County where he also sexually assaulted her. The victim was eventually able to escape and call 911, Robertson said.

At about 1 a.m. on April 10 detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, Montgomery Township Police Department, with help from Newark Police Department Officers went to Samuel's family member's Newark home and found Samuel hiding under a bed. He was arrested, Robertson said.
Samuel has been charged with first degree kidnapping, first degree aggravated sexual assault, and third degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Samuel was lodged at the Somerset County Jail pending a detention bail hearing in this matter.
